So , in my country we have this festival called ' Hari Raya '

Eid ul-Fitr ( Arabic : عيد الفطر ; 'Ayd al-Fitr; "festive nature") is celebrated on the 1st of Shawwal in Hijri . Festival is also known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri , Hari Raya Fitr , and Day Remix . Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a festival celebrated by the people of Islam around the world regardless of race whether Malay , Indian-Muslim and other nations around the world to mark the end of the Muslim month of Ramadanwhere Muslims have undergone fasting diligently. It is one of the two biggest festivals for Muslims, as well as the Feast of Sacrifice .

Hari Raya Puasa starts in two ways, ie through rukyah (see his months ) or in mathematics (count). If by rukyah, when the moon looked, this marked the beginning of the month of Shawwal , the 10th month in the Islamic calendar Islamic. In Malaysia , the moon will be observed by the officer on duty in the afternoon until dusk at strategic locations.

In Malaysia, Hari Raya celebration is the biggest. For weeks before the celebration manifests, preparation atmosphere ahead of the Eid was felt.These centers will provide shopping bargains and decorated with ornaments on a large scale. The songs will also be played on road radio and ontelevision . The plans will show centers around Eid. Banks , schools , and business premises will be closed for a few days up to a week after Eid.

In the main roads and highways across the country, congestion will occur due to the influx of city residents who returned to their hometowns to celebrate Eid together relatives and family members. This phenomenon is also known as Back village .

What actually does hari raya mean?

Hari means = Day

Raya means nothing in english its still raya..

And theres also no day raya in english its only in Bahasa Malaysia, (Hari Raya)
